Did anyone draw any special hunts for the GMU 653 unit for modern or archery?

Almost put in for it but didn't, pray for snow and some big migrators out of the park.

Back when it was open for general season, I used to hunt that unit a lot.  I can send you a PM with some details.

I have shot 3 bulls out of that unit: 4 point, 5 point, 6 point and my dad and uncle have shot a couple of different 6 points as well as a few rag horns.  Of course, it's been awhile since we hunted the unit...my dad and I have gone to bowhunting and have gone to eastside for the better draw opportunities (and I moved to Ellensburg, so it is more convenient for me to hunt out of my back door.)

I used to hunt there a lot. We used to go in FS 74 and drive in to where it crossed West Fork and park where the river washed out the road(I said it was a while ago) Then hike in to park boundary. If there was not any snow we would drive all the way past Martin Gap to the Clearwater Wilderness and hike up into there for a day or two.

that the same area we go for deer. ran into to another hunter walking thru the trees with his mag lite about a half hour before hunting hours last year.

the road and bridge have been surveyed to have a new one built, the forest service won't give a straight answer on when it will be done.  hancock had FS74 scheduled for loggin this year.
