Broadheads for elk?

Just wondering what you all use for elk. I've used muzzy 3 bladed 125gr. heads for deer but im not sure if I want to use them for elk too.

Ive killed elk with Muzzy 100 grainers and they worked fine.  I'm trying Slicktricks this year, but have nothing bad to say about Muzzy broadheads.

Montec 100 grain. Put one right through an elk last year. I use them for deer as well. They fly pretty true to field points as well. I am a big fan.

slick tricks fly great and blow good sized holes,partner shot a cow last year and left a huge bloodtrail.

You can debate this issue forever. As long as they are SHARP and you put them in the correct spot, they will do the job!

I have always shot 125 gr heads. Right now i shoot Beaman ICS camo hunters at 29 in for a combined weight of about 520 gr at 65lbs draw. This setup has blown through ribs on both sides of deer at 50 yds. By the way my speed is only 262 fps. So i say dont sacrifice to much weight for speed. Keep them sharp and put it in the wheel house!

What kinda bow you shooting, 262fps with a 520 grain arrow is impressive.  Heck Im shooting about 268 with a 430 grain arrow.

well put.....even the guys shooting recurves and long bows kill fine with a good hit and those bows are slow compared to any wheeled bow. I started shooting archery in 81, it's amazing how equipment has developed, but you know, even back then all you had to do was put a sharp arrow in a good place.

I use a 'curve and even though I now use Grizzly's I have packed a lot of animals that have been shot with the old stanby, Bear Razorhead.
