HSUS did it the last time filed suit and killed the states plan...I believe that was in Idaho.  They have loudly said they will file suit against any state that tries to institute hunting of wolves even if all it does is slow the proccess and cost the state money.

last year they shut down idaho wyoming and montana and the whole reason was wyoming unlimited kill zones where they were able to be hunted like coyotes thats why wyoming wasnt included in this years delisting montana and idaho both have more "reasonable" hunts, i think wyoming had the right idea

andrew_12gauge...you are correct....from what I heard wyoming is trying to play hardball and do it thier own way. They don't want to accept the numbers the feds want.

It's a gamble.....they probably will not be delisted as soon but if they win, they won't have to harbor as many wolves in their state.... :twocents:

Hopefully thing went smooth and easy. I wouldnt drive all way there for just wolf. I hope people in this state is working together and obey the Game rules.
Then they will allow more hunting in future.  :twocents:

I am thinking about going over wolf hunting, first we'll see if the antis get a court injunction at the last minute, or if the season opens.

Wyoming has tried to hold the feds and environmentalists to the original reintroducing plan. Which was a dishonest from the start. The feds past wyomings first wolf plan, but the environmentalists gut shot it. As you can see it really does not matter what the plan says, the people who are in charge don't want any wolves killed. I hope that the wolves will be able to be hunted this year and that everyone Follows the rules while hunting the wolves. It has been said, 75 wolves out of say 3000 won't help much, but it is a start.
