For me, I'd say it depends on the outdoor weather, and condition of the bear, and where you are looking.

I've seen bear at just about any time of the day, but evenings seem to be best, especially on hot summer days, like we're having now.

I have been going out in the morning and evening and have been seeing bear but it;s only been about 8 in the evening that I have seen them. It might change if the weather does but for me now it;s late.

I love bear hunting in the morning, evening and all day on cool or cloudy days.

I've seen bears in the morning (not a waste of time to me), but lots of times I do local evening hunts, so I dont see them till later afternoon, dusk.

Don't worry...sleep in. Bears have an internal clock that wakes them up at 10 am.

Last week I saw a Big Cinnamon at High Noon (100 degrees). I have had 2 cameras set up for the last month trying to get pics of him with no luck. Last week while driving up to get my cards out of the corner of my eye I catch a blur going over a hill across the canyon? WTF!!! I haul a$$ up around the next curve and see a Huge Bear running wide open!!! I grab my camera and he runs into a draw with Timber in it. Dam no picture!!! He  was about 1/2 mile below my cameras and right by the road!!!  :bash: :bash: :bash:

I've seen them in the mornings.  Last year I got mine at about 8 AM.

Although, some guys I know said they get them all between 4PM and dark.
