Just got home today from the mountain, had to come out early due to my partner falling and twisting his knee up. Passed on a color phase bear opening morning on the way to the canyon we were going to be hunting, slipped over the edge and spotted a group of four deer about 700 yards away with one buck in the group. Formulated a plan and started to slip down the hill when I spotted 4 orange dots on the canyon floor.
They were camped down in the bottom of the canyon I was hoping to hunt and did not see them the night before while glassing. Oh well, the fishing was good!
