Got hung up in Central Oregon so wont be back in WA until pro 2-3...but plan to try the last 3 hrs of light scouting elk spots and carrying a bow for bear self defense...lol

In this heat I might be tempted to let him chew on me a while instead of killing him and having to drag him out! :P

My lazy brothers want to sleep in so not leaving till 5am.  >:(  Im bringing the camera and hunting uphill from the truck.   :chuckle:  I will only shoot one if it can be back to the truck real fast.  If not will try to scare the hell out of my brothers by seeing how close I can get one to come in.  Got three big coolers ready to fill with ice on the way up just in case.  Greasy bear sounds to yummy to pass up.  F'n stoked to get out there and do some calling (with my new calls), pick some berries, scout for elk and get some exercise.

On the road at 1:30 to be at my spot by 4:30.  Then it is uphill hiking for 5 miles and 2500' of elevation gain.  Unless I spot one near the bottom of the mountain.  Please God please.  Good luck all.
Your WILD MAN 5 miles in with heat like we've had, not this guy.

I'll wait for at least 70's as highs before I get out there, but to all you that are heading out good luck and have a safe hunt.

Well it is going to be a hot one again today, I myself will not start for a while let this weather cool down some. Good Luck to all that go. Get it cooled down as quick as possible.
