What a small world!  I met Jim and his buddy John up on my spring bear hunt in Republic.  His friend John had a spring tag.  Great guys.  Enjoyed both of them in our camp for a couple weekends.  Tell him to join the site.

True story, not a good photo for this site and it's reputation. It would be best if we keep our reputations beyond reproach.

I can't see pics at work.  If its true, then I HOPE WE LEAVE it on here and they DO SEE IT.  ITS POACHING!   I hope someone turns them in.  I hope they lose their trophy.  Again, I can't see the picture to pass any sort of judgement.

I have copies of the picture so it can't get too lost. Even if it wasn't his bait, it is still illegal. I can't believe he was naive enough to include them in the picture.

I didnt notice the bags before.  They do appear to have a bear on them.  Admin needs to lock the poster out so he cant delete the picture until this is resolved.  Very sad if this is poaching.

those are probably horses,senior horse feed is used alot

I was hoping it was salt for the hide but I dont know.  But bags of salt could be bait as well.  Sure looks like a picture of a bear on that bag.

When I magnify the picture and fiddle with the contrast,  it looked like a horse and a cow on the bag.  I am no expert, but it could be grain for the horses, if they packed in.
