After attending the August Wildlife Commission meeting I feel much more confident that a reasonable wolf plan will be worked out before the commission will approve a wolf plan in Washington.

But the key to getting reasonable wolf management is for hunters to keep writing letters and to attend the next Wildlife Commisssion meeting and testify in support of reasonable wolf management. I think the next meeting will occur in Ellensburg on Sept 2, but it has not been posted on the Commission website yet.

Wow.  At least Idaho has a sinceable plan to manage them.  Anyone else hear the rumor about the Feds releasing breeding pairs at the top of White Pass this spring?  I heard it from a friend of a friend who works for the state game department.  A pretty credible source but I didn't hear it directly.

Has anyone else heard anything?

So no one else has heard about the Feds releasing wolves in White Pass?  I have done some research online and haven't found much other than it was the number one area recommended for restoration in the study the state paid for.

i don't think it's true, but there are lots that have heard reports from a friend of a friend...to date there is no real evidence.

Bearpaw- i think you're doing a great thing showing portions of the draft plan.  Much of it is very well sensable, some of it needs some attention.  Thanks for a reasonable and well thought out approach that might make a difference.
