A bunch of good Elk, and one gay one....
« on: August 08, 2009, 01:29:06 PM »
Jeremiah and I went and checked our cameras today. 5 cameras (really 4 cause 1 only had one pic), a one month soak, 310 pictures, here are the highlights.

All from one camera...

Another camera, different location...

Meanwhile, about 300 yards away...

A couple elk laid down for the night...

I dunno...kung fu squirrel?

Spike looking confused...

But not as confused as these two...

Great pics, I checked 1 cam yesterday and some crap (moss or twigs) ended up covering the lens.  Envious of your pics, looks like you have some good prospects!

Looks like your on to a nice herd.  Looks like other than the spike the bulls are still grouping together and havent claimed a herd.

Today we found a herd of 28, one 5x5, one 4x5, one 4x4, one 3x3, four spikes, and the rest were cows and calfs. I got ahead of them and watched them single file through the woods at about 80 yards. Can't wait for sept 8th :IBCOOL:

Save those pics. I believe those are in a greater minority then the wolves... it maybe just what keeps wolves on the east side :bash:. It is tough to tell what the great people in our society will find as the next cause. You know they have to be rare cause they are not reproducing :bdid:
