« on: December 30, 2009, 11:25:21 AM »
A good mount starts with good field care and Tony you did AWESOME. Tony's field care made this mount almost easy. Check my web site for complete trophy field care instructions.
Congrats and Thanks Tony

Joe:
Thanks, I do allot of color phase bears that come from the Blues. I'm not quite sure why but this region produces a inordinate number of color phase black bears. A few years ago I wanted a traditional black with tan muzzle bear and had to go to Idaho on a spring hunt to get one.
I've seen a few like this around here but allot are color phase.

Thanks

Jeff

Is that a McKenzie CL form?

Michelle:
No CL...... It's from McKenzie though... LBR 989 O/M Small Mohar Jawset and Art. nose.
I actually bought both the Med and Small Jawsets thinking it would take the Med but used the small because it fit better.
I've use the CL on allot on the cougars and Bobcats I do but rather do the O/M work on bears. I do like the panting CL set that McKenzie but haven't had a customer request one yet.

Oh well spring bear is right around the corner and I'm off to Idaho, perhaps I'll get one then.

Thanks

Jeff

Brian:
Here is a 1/2 or 3/4 lifesize bear mount. Very popular pose and considerably less expensive than a full lifesize.

Good Luck this spring

Very nice job for a bear of that color.  Hardest color to make look look right in a 3/4 mount imo.
