For precise shooting, you would need to use a ballistics chart for the load you are using.  900-5000ft will be several clicks though when you are shooting long range (600-1000yds).  Temperature (baro pressure) also plays a role.

Why not just spend the $35.00 on a Stoney point turret from Midway for your Leupold.  Take your rifle out and shoot it at the different ranges and mark it on your turret.

That's an option.  However, I'd recommend sending your scope off to Leupold and have them build a turrret.  (CDS I believe.)

I've used stoney point turrets and I still have them on one scope. I can tell you for sure, thier junk compared to factory turrets installed by leupold.

add on are always a nock off the rest the bc is the way to go for me. you take a deer at 400 yards and that whole deer fits in the circle at 400 whats pin point about that :dunno: i need some marks not circles.

100% AGREE.  I hate dots or circles.  I want small fine lines for my grids if I were to shoot grids.
