Hey, y'all! I'm fairly new to SW WA, moved out here about 6 months ago from Flagstaff, AZ and am DYING to get some big fishes! I've done a lot of trout fishing in my days, but never any steelhead and salmon. I'm living in Camas, WA right now and am looking for places to go to get some good fish. I'm not asking for anyone's honey holes or anything like that, just some general ideas on where to go. I've driven up the Washougal river, but everything I saw is either along private property or is nothing but rocks right now. I don't have a boat and will be shore fishing with spinner gear. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The Kalama usually has a good run of silvers and Chinook. That river has produced a lot of fish for me under the railroad trestle next to the freeway.

Sounds like a whipfest on the bank. When your setting the hook keep the rod from passing behind your head. Just a little advice.
