How it Works.

This is what happens when you don't go hunting. See my stand right behind him between the stump and the tree. The time is off a little.

my friend shot a bear 50 yards from here on the 1st. I did not think anything would be back there so fast so I did not hunt there.. They never found the bear they shot. That sucks.

GREAT PIC!  He looks like he's been in a few brawls.  Look at the scars on his nose!

And it looks like you have a great spot there.  Good luck, and maybe y'all will catch up with the one that got away.

You've captured lots of bears moving through this little edge depression over the past couple years.  Get in your stand and do some calling - fawn bawls.  Pull him in as I'm guessing he is a resident of your little hole there.  Your next post should be you and this bear in a happy embrace.  Now git! ;)

You would be surprised how fast bears come back to an area after you kill one in it. I shot a bear last year and went back the next day the gut pile was gone and next to it was about five piles of crap, it looked like it was coming out as fast as he was putting it in. This year same thing though shot one on the 2nd and on the 6th shot another one in same general area, be persistent and bears will show up.

There must be a few in the area or this is the one your buddy thought he shot.   :yike:
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
