Economy 20ga O/U
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:32:58 AM »
I couldn't hit crap sighting in my rifles, so I decided to try a shotgun. :chuckle:

Actually I was killing time Saturday and handled a CZ Mallard. Now I want one. Are there any others in the $500 range that I should take a look at?

Check out Mossberg's Silver Reserve line of O/Us, I know Outdoor Emporium carries them and they fall right into your price range. Also, check out Charles Daly O/Us.

CZ is the best for the money, in that price, in this area. The only other one I might consider if I could find one is the Yildiz, check out Sports academy online.

If you're spending $500 locally, you'll be at $550 after taxes.
I'd take that same $550 and shop the used, high quality market.
SKB, Dehaan, others.
They're out there.
Post same question on Shotgunworld.com.
Just my $.03

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

There is not much of a used market locally. So that is one area I  still need to look.

As far as being a O/U, I just think they are sexy. I have a couple of pumps, and I'm not into autos. Plus I've always wanted one.

From what i've read CZ, Daly and Moss are all Turkish guns. CZ and Dehaan are the same guns.
