Chowder Ridge goat scouting
« on: August 16, 2009, 07:57:04 PM »
Had a great time this weekend scouting for streak's goat.  We ended up going saturday evening and sunday.  We saw a few goats saturday, but fought the cloud banks a bit.  Sunday we woke up to a perfect day.  We saw a couple good billies that we'll go after once hunting starts and got a few good scenery and goat pics.   Bear

There's a pretty good billy in this pic.  Sorry it's so far away.

We saw this kid that was apparently abandoned.

He ended up walking up to streak and standing about 3 yards away for about 10 minutes.

And lastly a group of nannies with a small billy(about 8").

Awesome, I would've loved to have been with Streak when that kid got so close to him.  It's a real bummer that kid got abandoned somehow, probably because the mom died.  Good chance he won't make it through the winter now.  I'm definitely excited to get up there when season opens with you guys, it's going to be a lot of fun and I think we'll be able to take a really nice billy!
