I shot him a couple years ago during the late archery hunt in the Okanogan area.

You should et his permisson because he did a GREAT job.  Awesome "local" buck.  Did you take him with that bow?  I also like the border.  Thats COOL!

yes, I took him with the bow in the background.  One of my most memorable hunts to date, I worked my butt off in my quest for a mature muley.

Have you had him measured.  he ought to rank pretty high in the state, if that matters to you.

Yes i had him measured, He Grossed 173 1/8 and ended up netting 169 7/8, I think he ranks like #12 in the state.  The absence of eye guards didn't do him any favors on score.

I don't really care, he is my best buck with a bow and I'm very proud of the deer and the hunt.

Thats Frickin cool!  Any buck of that caliber with a bow is awesome.  Heck with a gun is pretty darn awesome.  With a bow its just SWEET!  I've got a couple in that category and everyone of them I'm VERY proud of.

Beautiful buck coonhound, always a little sweeter with the bow imo.

You should get his permission because he did a GREAT job.  Awesome "local" buck.  Did you take him with that bow?  I also like the border.  That's COOL!

I finally got the opportunity to talk to my Taxidermist friend and he gave me the OK to publish his name:

Jack Page, his business is called Mineral Lake Taxidermy (360) 492-5971

He is very meticulous about the fine details of his work, I highly recommend him.

Looks great Coon.....I remember when you posted the signature photo you have up on MM.  First time I've seen it done and on the wall.....looks awesome!

Just outta curiousity.....do you worry about your bowstring on your bow being hung up like that?  I did that for a while and just didn't like the fact there is always constant pressure on it.  I know the weight of the bow isn't much, but if it sits there for an extended period of time it may have an effect.  What do you think?  Would love to display mine like that some how as well.

Damn fine buck, and great mount as well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.
