That looks like one of those molasses blocks.  I had one back in the late 80's anf they just tore it apart.

I agree that he isn't pushing 300 yet, I'd say in that 250-275 range, but a nice bear for any hunter!

1st pic thought it was a dog bear,2nd pic I say he will be close to 300,hes got  some big hams

Nice looking bear.  What elevation are the pics at.  The bears seem to be hanging higher up.

 :)I'd shoot him in a heart beat, but he aint over 250. I'd guess 3-4 years. He is not filled out in his front end yet, belly is tight not dragging, ears look big.
