Kenmore Gun Range
« on: August 20, 2009, 08:30:44 AM »
Who's a member and why should I join? I live about 10 minutes from this range and I stopped by yesterday to check it out, what a friendly bunch. Anyways, do any of you shoot there regularly?

I shoot 2-4 days per week.. They have everything you need if your interested in shooting.  Archery walk through is one of the best around. good 5 stand, trap, continental, handicap , 300 yard rifle and pistol stuff.. :dunno:

Ive been a member 15 years.

I'm a member, I try to get there twice a week or so.  I just started shooting trap there to tune up for grouse season.  Nice facility.

it's a nice place. i thought about joining for $100 a year, but now if i remember correctly they have jacked the rates through the roof. i'll keep paying as i go for now.

CP you should shoot the 5 stand to tune up for grouse...not too often the grouse fly straight away from you.

Nice bunch of guys, I shoot up there a couple times a year. I am not a member though so I can only use the 100 yard rifle range. For 10 bucks it's a great place.

Great range. Archery, rifle or shotgun use. Their archery setup is the best one within close proximity of my place. Their membership dues require a 200 dollar initiation fee which is outrageous. I guess they don't want any new members. Other than that - I give it a thumbs up.

I joined about 3 or 4 years back.  Great for trap and Archery.  I guess they have a pretty good walk through course for Archery.  I wish they had a sporting clay's range, but the 5 stand is a good alternative.

The rifle range is OK for nonmembers, but GREAT if you are a member as you get access to the 200 and 300 yard range. That to me is the biggest draw to be a member.  A fraction of the people use it at any given time, and it is far more relaxed and calm.  It is not uncommon to have the public range totally full, and only see 1-2 people on the member range.

The only think I don't care for is the pistol range as it is a fixed 25 yard range as I recall.

If you shoot rifle or trap a lot, membership is well worth it and it pays for it's self pretty quickly.  If you are a pistol guy, there are probably better options.

Man, I wish there was a range in Cowlitz County that went to 300 yards!!!!!!!  300 a year would be cheap to be able to shoot at that range anytime I wanted.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Gotta tell ya...the whole idea of paying $200 to be "initiated" and then paying more for dues has kept me from becoming a member and I live less than 10 miles from there!  :bdid:
