Wayne, the Wife, kids and I are planning on being there. I took Friday off to head over and we will be there Saturday for sure and probably part of Sunday before heading back this direction to check on the game cams and fish a bit on the way home. I will certainly make the effort to find you. Bought the kids a youth model 870 20 ga. today so we will run a few rounds through that as well. The daughter is planning on pheasant hunting this fall and both of them hope to get a turkey next spring. Have a great week.

"Awesome"... Ya'll have a safe trip over. We'll see ya when ya get here. I'll be running "Tank" in the pointing divison, and then I'll be judging the rest of the day.

I watch it on TV.  I'm going to head over for the Oct show.  I'd sure like to see it in real life.  Do I need tickets or reservations, or anything?  Probably will just make a day trip out of it.

do you need to sign up in advance or when you show up? not sure I could make it over but, if time allows, I have some ground over there I can hunt too.

Would be nice if you could call Mark and let him know ahead of time....  but there are folk's that sign up the day of the event...  just nice to know how many dog's, just to make sure we've ordered enough birds

Wayne, it was nice to see you again. Sorry the conditions were not better for you and the dogs. I will be back over to watch another challenge when the conditions are better. I am glad that stuff is going on. It was fun to watch. How did Tank do in the afternoon? Hope it did not get too much warmer.

How did it go Wayne?  Weather probably was a bear.  Any Tank news.  Love the looks of that dog.

Holy Crap was it hot..  was not a day you wanted to have your dog in the field. By the time Tank ran, it was afternoon..  hot, dry, and birds were running and not holding..  Tanks nose did an awesome job.. he got on 5 bird's within the first 3 minutes, but just about the time he'd go on point..  the birds would flush on thier own. We ended up with 2 bird's, but had to use the whole 20 minutes, and my shooting was'nt up to par..   Tank did his job like a pro...  just circumstance's we'rnt in our favor, and the heat was getting to Tank around the 12 minute mark...  just way to hot. All in all..  we still had a good day...  Got to spend time with my favorite hunting partner, and he got feathers in his mouth. Hopefully the Challange in Oct. will be alot cooler. Also hope it'll be cooler come Sept. 26-27th. Have some kid's linded up to take out for Youth early opener for Pheasant

On one of the birds that flushed early...   and hawk swooped in about 50 yards in front of us and snached it out of the air.

How hot was it?  Do you guys condition your dogs to run 20 minute stakes?     I just watched the BDC video.  Kinda cool.  Looks really close to NSTRA.
