Hey Cylvertip,
I haven't had any problems like that. The battery life has been amazing for me so far. I've had my camera on this trail since late june and have yet to switch batteries. The last time I picked it it had gotten 1562 pictures in a week and a half (Filled up a 2GB card!). . . That was because that bull moose layed down within range of the camera and stayed for about 20 hours.

I have used both 1gb and 2gb cards in them, and none of them are quality brands. I've just bought cheap ones on ebay or bought the cheap ones that come in package deals at the store.
By the way, I've had one night in the stand over this trail so far, didn't see any deer from the stand, but saw a fawn on the walk into the stand. It's way to big to be hiding like it was anymore, it was laying still in the brush like when they are newborn. It was only about 15 yards away, so I just snapped a quick shot and moved on, didn't want to spook anything more than I already had.
I'm taking off today after my class that gets out at 1:45 to head up and sit my stand this evening. I plan to camp up there and sit it through the weekend, drive back to the west side on Monday and hunt elk back home for a week! I'm pumped!
