grayback unit

I drew a tag for late archery deer. Does anyone know how the hunting is in the late season down there in the grayback?

It sucks.  You should hunt somewhere else. ;)

I hunted that unit last year for general rifle 1st weekend and it sucked. Its a migratory unit and VERY weather dependent so no snow up high = no deer down low!

Late rifle season several years ago. Definitely weather dependent unit, get up high and wait for the rain and blowin snow and you'll get to choose which BIG buck you want !!!

There are PLENTY of really good deer killed in that unit during the general rifle hunt with no weather. I've seen it done...numerous times. The oaks can be pretty hard to hunt though. But ya, I think that is a doe tag.
