Hopefully, I will be real late to work. I haven't been back to scout in two months so I am hitting my past spots and hoping to luck into something.

I have not missed a opener since 1986 no reason to start now. My son and myself will hunt the morning for blacktails. Then it will be his first grouse opener's carrying a gun, just got his hunter's ed finished. He was the youngest in his class and scored a 98% no I was not a proud dad.

You need another choice in the poll - "I'm an a bowhunter hunting during rifle season"
Trying to get in on better rut activity in my areas.

September 1 is my b-day and have hunted the opener for the last 4 years. Almost quit my job (had my two week in) but things made a huge turn around so I talked with the owner and we agreed that I stay. My only request was to have the 1st and 2nd off and he replied that is better than a permanent loss of me. I wasn't giving an ultimatum but since he agreed so quick I didn't argue.

I never miss the opener for early bow season!
I have only seen 7 or 8 bucks so far that i would shoot during the early season though. We will see what opening morning brings.Good luck to all!
