heading out to scout moose
« on: August 31, 2009, 10:03:41 PM »
The family and I will be heading over to Mica on Thursday morning to spend a few days looking for moose. The wife and daughter aren't to thrilled about it though since I had to cancell our vacation we had planned in July for a scouting trip :'(LOL) I will be scouting with my son Zack (tag holder) in the mornings and bringing my wife and daughter in the evenings.Zack and I are pretty pumped. Oct 1 will be here soon  Maybe we will see a couple of you local guys up there. Will try to get a few pics to post.

I hope when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Would love to share a cup o joe !   Where are you staying while you are here ?  I live in Spokane Valley about 25 minutes from Mica.
There is also a detour right now out that way.  They have Elder Road off of Hwy 27 shut down so you have to follow the signs and go down to Rockford and around.  Easy trip only an extra 7 miles or so.
I'll be out that way chasing deer but right now not planning to be up on the mountain, will be lower on some private and DNR land.
Weather is going to be great !  Temps in the 70s during the day and 50s at night.
Have you picked up your Inland Paper Company permission slip?  They are available at White's Boots.  You will need it to be up on the mountain.
Looking forward to a chance to put a face to the name.

Ya, we are bringing the quads and I plan on stopping at whites on my way through. We will be staying in one of the cabins at the KOA in the valley. I will be driving a lifted Dodge mega cab with a canopy. Stop in and say hi. That would be great.
I hope when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.
