They where talking about this on the radio yesterday. They said he has shot several deer as well. Sounds a little young to have kills like that.

Started shooting when he was 2 and a half years old. hell, sounds like a winner to me.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

This is a great story, but I think the people in Arkansas have as much trouble as us folks in Washington in guessing live weight of a bear.

seems a bit shy of 445lbs, Id guess maybe 350lbs live, not the best pic for my guess but, good bear all the same.

Anyone else think 5 is a little young for a riffle big enough for that bear?  My oldest son is 9, and he can barely hold an adult .22lr steady even with sticks.  Just my 2 cents

What makes you think that the 445lbs. was a guess?  Maybe they weighed the thing :dunno:
I was shooting a 300 Weatherby Mag and bigger when I was 4 so I don't think it is a little young and it really depends also on the maturity of the child at those young ages.  Some kids are raised around guns from day 1.

I have to agree that the pic makes it hard to judge, but that small child does not make that bear look very big.
