That is an awesome capture.  I have so many near pics its insane.  The fact you were there and have it in your mind is awesome.  So many times I've wanted to capture th epic to share but miss it. 

I am guessing (haven't looked at your data) it was probably just camera shake as I don't see a focus spot like you focused passed him or on something else.  IS is helpful for sure.
