sweet   :) :) :) :)   lets see?...5 wolves taken in 2 states w/ a population  of 2000 that increase by 22% per year?.......we have some work to do ;)

denali...i agee completely, but at least that's a start in those states.

Right now my big fear is Washington, seems like "Defenders of Wildlife" is running the wolf show.

When a person reads through the Washington Wolf Information page and the Washington Wolf Plan you will notice that The WDFW has links to "Defenders of Wildlife" which is an anti-hunting group.

You will also notice that "hunting" is not included in the language as the eventual management tool.

"Defenders of Wildlife" is one of the lead groups that is sueing the USFWS trying to stop wolf hunting in Idaho and Montana.

Most any reasonably intelligent person could draw conclusions from these facts....

Yes, I saw that on the Idaho regs, didn't see it on the MT regs, but I might have missed it.  ID they have 24 hours.  I was suprised by the 12 hour limit in MT.

You may very well be right. It's very possible that I am confusing what ID and MT had stated about report times.  :dunno:

Montana has taken a little more conservative approach. Whereas a higher percentage of the people of Idaho have had it with wolves, they are throughout the state and causing problems. Thus more agressive management.
