Mine is 41 and Idabooners is 46 I think.  Both have shrank dramatically.  Here is some DAMN good advice for any of you concerned about scores.  My Alaskan bull shrank 4 inches in outside spread from when it hit the ground and now.  3 inches of that was AFTER the drying period ended.   Shiras probably wouldn't be affected as much as they have less flared antlers, but even that, my Alaskan bull was more upright than spread out.  Get those babies measured as fast as legal.

Dang, I thought those pics were on here.  The whole story is in the Eastmans journal a couple months back.  I'll dig up some more photos of him.  ONE HELL of a hunt.

72 I think, or over 70 anyways.  It has some nontypical stuff that you really don't see in those pics.  I have his other pics somewhere here that I slobber on almost monthly.  LUCKY SOB.  FIrst time mooser and look what he brings home.  Just kidding him.  VEK works EXTREMELY hard for his kills.  Hopefully he chimes in here sometime soon.  The turkey went and moved up there so is probably chasing a sheep or moose right now.

He was a *skosh* over 70" 4 days after the kill (sept 2005), but has since shrunk to 68.5".  I've thrown down a hell of a gauntlet for myself, with a 70" first bull.  I should probably hang up the moose canoe for good and be happy, but stupid is as stupid does.  Hard to top that, and hard to hang something like that in a house with 8' ceilings.  That's a good problem to have, I guess.  Going back in there next weekend, with a new victim partner.
