I bought the bow from AS&J Archery in Yakima.  But I have Mike from Grizzley Archery do all of my bow maintenance.  Mike is a heck of a guy and within an hour of me taking my bow in it was ready.  This was on very short notice.  He's really busy but managed to squeeze me in.  To anyone around the Yakima/Ellensburg area I recommend you take your bow to him.  Even if you don't buy it from him your gear to him.  You wont regret it.

Wow, you bought the bow at AS&J but have Grizzly do all your maint.? Does Grizzly not carry Hoyt or did you have a bad experience at AS&J?? I've only been there once but he seemed to know what he was doing and seemed like a nice guy. I think you did better on the WC over Stone Mtn. WC is more consistant with their streching process and the serving is better IMO.

Personally, I've purchased stuff from both (got my bow from Mike last year in fact) and have been happy with both overall.  But, I'm a little surprised that Mike was able to fit you in and get you set up so quickly colockumelk.  Don't get me wrong, his work is great, but just getting a dozen arrows built takes me over a week.  But, I'm not one to rush good work.

You forgot to mention what kind of bow was reliable enought to bail your ars out for the opener.  Just figured that people on here would like to know and I think you should spell it out for everyone.  I will help.  "I Aaron B. was saved by my brothers (insert bow brand here) because my Hoyt was inferior."  :chuckle:

Did the bow brand name start with an "M" and end with an "athews"?

I know the feeling man. My string did the same thing to me a few years back. When it broke it blew my whisker bisbut in about 1,000 pieces and sent a cloud of broken arrow chunks and hair fibers into the air. I got a really nice purple bruise on my arm. There is no level to describe the amount of pissed off i was. I hope you get it figured out and get back in the Field.

I bought the bow from AS@J because after testing bows for 6 months I liked the Hoyt AM32 the best.  Iv'e taken my business to Mike at Grizzly Archery for the last three years.  He does really good work and in a timely manner.  Also in an emergency he'll help you out like he did with me.  I'm sure Brandon at AS@J is a great guy but I prefer Mike at Grizzly that's all.  I didn't have a bad experience at AS@J.

I have shot about 2,000 arrows since I bought that bow.  I love the Hoyt AM32.  THe string obviously sucked but everyhting else is awsome.  BTW the WC string shoots great.

I took it hunting this last weekend while I didn't fling any arrows I did stalk some really nice mule deer this last weekend.  Open country Mule Deer is very addicting.

A Bowtech Alligiance temporarily bailed me out for the first day of the season.  However it must have some sort of deer repellant since the deer we'd been patterning never showed up.  Thank goodness my Hoyt Alpha Max 32 is back in action.
