WOW, I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS A TREE HUGGERS MESSAGE BOARD.
Did you guys work on the Obama campaign. We should all drive smart cars or hangout at hemp fest. Stop whinning about others who enjoy the great outdoors, to each his own, if you dont like it hike further away and find low populated areas. You can always find spots with nobody around, do your homework this state has lots of wilderness inaccessable to motorized vehicles. Messing with other peoples property when they are nowhere around sounds like a coward punk move to me, no better than your average thug breaking into cars and homes, most of these guys are blue collar working hard for every dollar they have. You give hunters a bad name.
I don't know how many time we have to cover this....quads are legal anywhere they want to go OFFROAD on national forest land. Call your local ranger district and ask, they will say the same. If you don't like quads and are bothered by people riding them then go into the millions of acres of wilderness. You guys talk about quad riders being lazy, but you guys are too lazy to hike into the wilderness to get away from them. So either deal with them or go into the wilderness. I've had quads ride into areas that I've been hunting before too, but that's just part of the game when you hunt on PUBLIC land where motorized use is legal. I understand that it's irritating when they break the rules, but you can't tell me that all of you quad haters always follow all the rules either. I see and read lots of storys and pictures of folks poaching, littering etc without the use of quads so make sure you point the finger at everyone who needs it not just one group. Keep in mind too that when you drive your big fancy diesel truck up into the woods and park and walk way back in and then find a quad and vandalize it, (and yes even letting the air out of the tires is vandalization under the law), that the quad rider may "repay" you. And trust me your truck tires are A LOT more exspensive than quad tires. It's not the right way to handle the situation and you guys know it, it makes you no better than the illegal quad rider. Stop your whining, quads and quad riders are not going to go away, they are the biggest motorsports user ground in the country, either get over it and go hunt or stay home. One last thing for you quad haters, next year under the national travel management plan, the forest service is required to open up roughly 30% of there road systems for "multiple use" which includes quads. just my
