Michelle Nelsons Taxidermy will buy capes!
« on: September 04, 2009, 03:46:06 PM »
It never fails, every year a few people will bring me an animal that they want to have mounted with a cape that is unusable in some way or another.  Either the cape was cut wrong, or poor field care by the hunter orguide.  I am always in need of some EXTRA CAPES!

Blacktail Deer
Mule Deer
Whitetail Deer
Antelope
Elk
Moose
Black Bear
(full hides must incluse claws)

Price depends on the size and quality of the cape. Deer Capes average $75. Elk average $125.  Thats for a decent size cape with little to no blemishes.  Larger than average capes bring more.  I will exchange antler plaques for capes or shop credit.  If I have enough cash available sometimes I will pay cash.

If any of you shoot an animal with a nice cape and decent neck size and don't plan on mounting it, please let me know.  Just cape it out and put it in the freezer or bring it right to me.  The antlers and/or Horns will be returned to you.  If you have any questions just give me a call: (360) 704 - 0034.

I still have the blacktail cape double bagged and airtight.  Its not quite a year old and am sure it still in prime shape.  Let me know if you want to buy it.
