Thanks.  I had about 5 of them in the grass.  I'll get more pics up when I can get back at it.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Wonderful images, Doug!
That one looks like a good candidate for the "In the Background" thread.
Grouse are one of my favorite subjects and you've captured them excellently.

Good pictures Bone. Its amazing how clear yours are. Here are a couple I took on a hike into the Alpine Lakes. She had five poults with her but I couldnt get any good shots with them as a group. Lots of grouse in the woods this year though or atleast it seems.

I really like that last one Crowns.  Very nice setting for her portrait.  Great colors and texture and her eye is sharp.

As soon as I get used to looking at my settings through the viewfinder.  I always get caught up in the moment and tend to not look.  SOmething I need to do if I am going to become a good photographer.  I had my ISO cranked thus a bunch of grain.   :bash:
