First hunt of the year
« on: September 06, 2009, 03:22:31 PM »
Zeke and I finally got out to chase some birds. I was feeling bad for him as he has been sort of on the back burner lately.
It was awful wet, but we still enjoyed the company and cuffed a couple young Blues to make it a successful day. My camera Lens was fogged up so the pic sucks but you get the Idea, he looks like a drowned rat.

Nice job! I am new to this site and grouse hunting I  am looking for a little help on where to go. I have a German Shorthair but she is as new to bird hunting as I am. I live in Snohomish county also.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Ironhead, great job. We got soaked too, very wet weekend, even in the center of the state.

Nice grouse Steve. I got a couple limits this weekend over in the Sawtooths. Lots of rain and got into a nice snow storm.

We had hail and snow as low as 5000' in the Entiat range this weekend...nothing stuck, but could see it sticking up higher to the West, sticking for a while at least...white capped ridges towards the Cascades...

Bet there were some cold and ill prepared hikers this weekend....
