:yeah:  Wolf season for the whole state opens tomorrow.  The wolf tally might spin faster than the national debt meter.

I called on a whitetail tag the other day and the guy on the phone told me that it was up to 28 reported and all areas in Idaho will be open in the next week, I believe is what he said.
If that's true there is a huge discrepancy between the website and the offices.  Is that just a delay in the website updating?  Later in the season as quotas (hopefully) get close to being reached, I wonder if some problems come up with over-harvest in some regions and how they handle it.  How would you feel if you have a tag, checked the website, saw the quota for your area still had several left to go, shoot one, report it to IDFW, only to have them cite you for taking one in a closed area because there's a delay in the website updates.  Would they then take it along with your tag, weapon, rig, etc like they did to the guy who read a map wrong?  Not certain if this will happen but makes you wonder.   :dunno:

As of 10/1/09 at 1:21pm,

Idaho reports 17, and Montana reports 9, for a total of 26. This is off of thier online wolf quota sites.

amazing how that number progressed as they opened more areas and more importantly the modern firearm season rolled around.

Numbers will increase rapidly in Montana as well once general firearm season opens.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
