Calling correctly wears you out.  You have to put all your effort into the calling, THAT is exactly why I hang a watch out in front, because calling like that for 45 min to an hour is pretty hard work and after 20 minutes you think dang that has to have been an hour already!!  Good job Rick, thanks for posting the video.

I love to watch instructional videos like that. there is so much info that ne can gain from it.

if you have more or are makeing more send me some links, I like to obsorb informatin on things that interest me, and hunting is my obsession.

I have had no success on bears, but always learn all i can, to some day be successful.


I need to hok up and get my hands on sme of your custom calls.

Rick, I get so out of breath blowing those calls it aint funny. I thought I was going to pass out the other day calling for coyotes. Im glad Im not the only one that gets winded, and thats only aftewr about 30 seconds  :chuckle:

that's were a openreed doe's better in the winter. they are less likely to freeze .i'm no expert just.  i'm excited to do another in the morning i'll do a RR1 openreed. i'll go more into detail then. i'll make sound's that are killer for bobcat's. Rick

Cool....... I have been practicing and I am sure glad I quit smoking  :chuckle: otherwise I'd be dead after about 5 minutes......and no one likes riding in the truck with me when I practice while driving  :dunno: :chuckle:

Everyone don't worry about blowing the call with all out for the entire time with that much emotion.  In between the bouts of really aggressive calling, you can use that fawn distress with a closed reed that does not take much air to blow.  That will help you recover a little bit, but will keep a sound going to keep them interested.
