Poaching
« on: September 11, 2009, 10:07:14 AM »
Are we as truthful as we pretend to be? 50% that is a big number.   What percentage from this site would fail this test?

I posted the wrong one this is the correct one I hope.

I don't understand, topics like this are usually HOT HOT HOT????? I just cant get over that 50%. If I understand correctly that means if you wouldn't break the law the man standing next to you will.

On reservations is it also illegal to shoot from roadways/ vehicles? I honestly don't know, just curious. This is a very common violation, I've seen the decoys used in Lewis County. Anyone who shoots from a rig must be completely deaf :chuckle:.

Yes it is illegal to shoot from the vehicles. I saw a deer decoy at the Taxidermist one time it was shot to *censored* I would have thought the decoy would have been a big trophy but it was barley a three point and its head turns.

The 50% referred to the number of illegal shooters that did not even have a license.....

It would have been interesting to find out what percentage of all vehicles stopping did the shooting.

Too bad they can't ticket as if the person did actually take the animal.

OMG I love those videos.  The best one is the guy who got out his semi-truck to blast that "buck"

well look at that video...  the bull is one Id pass on from 20 yards with a bow

why in the hell would anyone break the law for that???

I mean...  Im not saying a bigger bull makes it ok...  but I could see a 385 inch bull tempting a few people but a rag horn 3 pt?

then again...Ive wondered if I could present a decent legal argument for inability to PASS on a bull/buck of a life time...

No matter what the size of the bull...  these guys are idiots.

If some guy is on a dirt logging road way the hell back in the timber and its rifle season and he has a rifle tag...and its day light...

I could probably excuse someone leaning across the hood of his truck for a rest...

but these guys who shoot and DONT HAVE A TAG?  or at night? or out of season?  I believe the officers in this story took it pretty damn easy on some of those guys!

Probably because WA odds of getting an elk with a rifle are 1 in every 30+ years for a person...

The sting I saw in Lewis County that was similar was primarily to cite for shooting from a County road. Most guys did in fact have licenses, but they were cited for the shooting violation.

This kind of thinking drives me nuts.

How do people rationalize breaking some laws but not others, as if the one is worse than the other.  They all knew the size has absolutely nothing to do with it and leaning across the truck is just as illegal as any of the rest.

This is exactly what i was talking about when I said there are some self-righteous hunters on here.

If everyone on here was a GW, i'd be willing to bet that each of you would giver 90% of you a ticket for one thing or another.   Then you'd go home talkin about how law breakers should be strung up.

I just don't get it.  I think it is simple.  Don't break the law.  If you don't like the law, fight to have it changed.

I have to assume that you also fall into the 90% group, as self righteous as you are coming across.

I absolutely failed to see your Halo and recognize that you are perfect..... :chuckle:
