Marlin 336RC in .30-30 and a Marlin 22 Golden 39A.  .30-30 has been my deer gun for years, and the 22 is what my daughter learned to shoot on.

I thought long and hard about getting one of the 308MXLR (laminate and stainless) for elk, then I thought one of the 1895MXLR (450 Marlin laminate and stainless).  Didn't seem to have the range.

Love 'em.

BLR .308.  Best dang gun I ever owned.  Accurate as a bolt, and light and easy to carry.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I love lever guns, but I never seem to hang on to them. I've had a Winchester 94 30-30, Marlin Guide guns in 444, 45-70, and 450 Marlin, and a Savage 99 in 250 Savage. I think that my hang up with them is the accuracy. The lever guns are the only rifles that I've had that I couldn't get to shoot 1" or less at 100 yds, and that's my minimum accuracy requirement for rifles. I know it's stupid, because that's not what lever guns are for. But a 20" barreled bolt gun is just as handy and IMHO, eaisier to get to shoot well, and versitle. :peep:

That said, Marlin didn't make the stainless Guide Gun in 45-70 when I had mine. That would make an excellent companion rifle to my 45-70 BFR.  :chuckle:

same here. WIN 94 30-30, Marlin 336 30-30, BLR 358, Savage 99 250-3000, Ithaca 22 single shot. am making a wish list for my own purposes and for teaching hunter education. instead of just telling kids they make lever shotguns for example I'll just show 'em one.

How many of you shoot lever guns??? and what type :hunter:
A 30/30 Marlin® and two 444 Marlin®'s for me. The 30/30 is for hunting Blacktail Deer; one 444 is my Bear rifle, the other I use for Elk.

30/30 Winchester® and 444Marlin® for me. 30/30 is for hunting Blacktail Deer; 444 is my Bear and Elk rifle.

444 is one of my favorites.  Dawei, have we met on the marlin forum?

As for iron sites, I've tried some of the williams peep sights on a couple guns.  Accuracy is great, and quick target acquisition.  However, they are not good in low-light conditions and not easy (for me) to adjust.
