I'm not going to lie to you man, but your barking up the wrong tree with that question on here.  Tried that myself and got no where.  I have seen elk around chewelah though, so there are elk there.  They are hard to come by and you better have some damn good boots and be in shape or you'll pay for it later.

here's the problems you'll run into asking the questions you've asked and getting any info out of anyone.

1- it's the northeast elk herd you're asking about. it's more top secret than anything the CIA has running.

2- this might sting a little, but just so you know...you are going hunting next week and you are asking now for info....you should have started scouting months ago.

3- this might sting a little too, it's your 2nd post ever on this site. you gotta give a little to get a little around here.

just my 2 cents...

Tazz,

theres plenty of guys on here that could tell ya what tree to stand beside to kill a decent bull but Jackelope is right (man thats hard to say :bash: :chuckle: :P

The web isnt like ral world where people can read ya.  Here...u are what ya post!  Go add a few threads of your deer/elk/bears/fishing/ whatever with pictures and a nice detailed story about each hunt...

do that and I wouldnt be suprised if tha same question resulted in a few helpful PM's!

Ive gotten tons of help from people on this site but I also post more than anyone wants to see!

I have no idea about that area so Im otherwise useless which is fairly common ;)

keep us informed as the hunt unfolds!

dave
