Trijicon Accupiont TR22

I just purchased a Trijicon TR22 2.5-10x56mm Green triangle reticle, this scope is going on my Thompson Pro Hunter 300 Win Mag. Anyone ever use these before what do you think? Most people think 56mm is too large for hunting but the 30mm main tube along with the large objective draws in a unbelievable amount of light, good for early morning or late in the evening shooting. I'm usually a Leupold guy and I paid good money for this scope so just want to hear from people who have used them before. The glass quality is excellent and they are made in America any thoughts?

The Trijicon scopes are one of the most underrated scopes out there. My experience is limited to the shotgun scopes and borrowing a friends predator rifle. The light gathering capability is on par with any top of the line scopes including Nightforce and US Optics. I don't know if I could ever get used to the Triangle reticle or post reticle for a big game scope, but they are awesome, well built scopes. I have no idea on their customer service or warranty programs, which is a huge deal to me when purchasing optics.

my buddy bought one of similar specs over here to put on his new tikka. It got bashed a lot by the more traditional hunters and has yet to be used for hunting even though he has had the set up for a few months now. The bow sight fiber optic illumnation is very interesting but i still havent seen it out at 1am for pigs yet to see how it does.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
