The coast, around St. Helens, Ranier, Adams, are all full of blackbear, plus some lower elevation state lands have lots of bear too.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Anywhere you can combine food, water, and shelter in one area.  Seriously though, bears are numerous in our state.  Find a good food source that is relatively undisturbed, and you'll likely find bears.  The closer it is to water and dense cover the better.

The more area you explore, the more you'll learn about what bears like and don't like.  After you figure that out, it becomes a much more fruitful adventure.

Good luck!

Look for the food sources.  Huckleberries, high mountain blue berries and get up into the hills.  They are around.  Check the game regs and see which units have high harvest %.  Do you homework and start scouting, you will probably find them.

If you have itunes go to there store and download the predator talk podcasts.  They are free and will give you a lot of good info.

You are right on top of them.  Follow the berries and where they are ripe.  Look for poop.  Anywhere in the cascades, coastal ranges are good.  The berry crop is very good this year...which means the bears are probably spread out and not patterned as normal.

Good luck!
