we left at 3 am, headed to Montana for 2 weeks of screaming bulls. We got 4 tags, so it should be a great hunt, and meat will hit the ground. Have laptop, will post. pics and stories to come in the next few days.

I talked to jstamp yesterday. He has seen a lot of elk. He was full draw on a 6x6 that he figured would score about 320 at 40 yards. But he wasn't able to get a shot. Another guy in his party missed a 350 bull. They have that on video. I guess they have seen this bull almost everyday. A third hunter in his party killed a decent 5x5.
He doesn't get hardly any cell service over there and he is having problems with his laptop, so it might not be until he gets home before we see some pics. He also said that they have been having a great time.

Well it was a great hunt!!! Lots of opportunities for me, but no kill. We did get 2 bulls. a nice 5x6 and a goofy 5x5. Like bigshooter said, I had a shot oppurtunity at a big 6x6 at 40 yards and wasn't comfortable with the shot. It was one of those shots with little margin for error. you either kill it or wound it, and i chose not to shoot. we saw some MONSTER bulls, but couldn't quite get into bow range on them. i got some good video of a couple bulls in the 350 range. my laptop went TU, so I'll have to get pics from some of the guys that went over there with me. I'm gonna try to post pics of the 2 bulls we got tonight.

I have a friend who killed a 369" 7x7 over there. I'll see if I can get permission to post his picture. The main beams are 55" long and he has insane mass. Taxi said it will go top 50 for P&Y MT
