My 1st doe
« on: September 17, 2009, 02:05:12 PM »
Well i figured i would do my part in Washington managment and shoot my first doe, ya its not much dif. than shooting a buck. She was supposed to die rite were i shot her but she kinda rolled. I centered her in the neck @ 12 yards and she did fall dead rite were she stood but then she slid off of the rock and down she went, and down, down, down, down, and down some more, and finally she rested in a bush at the bottom. So what was supposed to b a 100 yard drag to the truck ended up being a 1/4 mile hike out of a hole all for a doe, but hey its hamburger in the freezer. I did not get good pics cause we were in a hurry to get her out. I had to strangle her a bit but it was all good :)

so now i still have the late elk hunt and my bear tag then its on to bobbys and ducks

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers
