Yep, should still be bugling.  In the past, I've heard them in the Little Naches during rifle deer (mid-October).

So many factors... I've been in good elk areas the first week of OCT and heard NOTHING...and I've been in them the same time and had 5-7 bulls screaming their brains out!!! I've had lots of good hunts where the bulls were singing in Mid October and in 07 a heard bull bugled from first light on thru Noon on Oct 25Th!!! Never did see the *censored* either!

Havent even really started bugling yet. At least not in SW WA. I would say they should really start this week and go through Muzzy...should be an amazing season.

About mid november.
Specifically in the NE corner.

Your loudest period is OVER.  Now they are still going but not finatical.   They are cowed up and have had pressure and are very call shy.  Now I would bugle to locate then be quiet.

Was drinking beers at the campfire one night in MT, October 24th. Let a few bugles out and the Bulls all around responded. It was awesome!

What part of the NE ? We hunted all last week and never heard a bugle. So I bet they will be buggling later this year! I wish the archery season was a another week longer in 113 since we get no late season! But we take what we can get. >:(

postly pressure related, had a spot to hunt in colorado for a few years that was low pressure, elk bugled through november, mostly hunterpressure and people that like to "practice bugling" are what shut them up.
