Mom on the hill.  Vigilant but relaxed.  Pretty good sized sow.

Actually I was glad I was by myself.   I know what I am going to do.  All it would have taken is the person next to me to move an inch towards the truck and shed have taken me.  She was sizing up her situation.  It helped that her cubs had scattered and that the one hadn't treed BEHIND me, which would have made things ALOT worse.

Full frame on hill.
I think I said I was going to add these to that other thread...OOOPs.  I'll just stick the other bear there.

Wow!  Brings back memories.  I wouldn't have been worried about my lense!  Great pics though.

Thanks Guys!   I'll try to get some more up.  I'd have to admit I wouldn't have even tried that with younger cubs.  She was letting them venture pretty good, but you sure knew who was in charge.  When momma bear talks, little bear cubs listen........

I remember one that didn't a few years back.  Momma literally launched him up the tree, breaking limbs on his way up.  Man that was cool.

I had you in mind while I was there.  I had a boar up a tree (on his own)  he climbed up and then jumped into a hallberry bush.  I was wondering if I rushed him if I could keep him treed'  LOL.  I thought if you'd been there I could have rushed him and you film if he didn't.(kinda hard to rush with this camera as you know)

They are getting hungry.  Their food is drying up.  Dryer than heck up there.

Cool pics Doug... too bad there wasn't a good boar around to stick and arrow in..

When you are out like that, you should try and get a good field photo or two of that bow...
