okanogan east unit
«
on:
December 19, 2007, 08:12:38 PM »
Just wondering if anybody has hunted the okanogan east unit (204). Are there a ton of whitetails in there. What about mule deer numbers? Any info you can give would be great. How much public ground is there? Thanks

Worst unit in the State, in fact their is too much crossbreeding in that unit, your likely to harvest either a midget albino buck, or a Jackelope in that unit

I have hunted the east okanagon during the reg season and i have seen less muleys the last few years. Agree good whitey hunting, but IMO muleys have been declining. Seems to be more hunters as well.

There's always been a lot of hunter's in the 20+ year's we have been hunting there, only drawback about hunting that area. Though, western Wa. has a much higher density of hunter's than the E. Okie.

Terribel place. Full of hunters and does with a few small bucks. All the big bucks live on the western side of the state.
