First freshie for me this year!!
« on: December 20, 2007, 05:03:56 PM »
I picked this one up this morning. From what I can tell on my trail cam pics I have about 10 more laying out there somewhere right now.

Here are a couple pics of him last year. I have not had a chance to download this years pics yet.

Miles,
Id say its probably about 50/50 right now but there starting to drop pretty good. I have about 12 different bucks coming into one site and 4 have shed both sides and 3 are still packin one side.

Here's a nice set that I picked up last year. With an 11inch drop tine.

How many of you guys have seen this buck?

The sheds the guy is holding up are mine.

I have quite a few more nice ones that I will post later on.

Nice whitetails, yes you need to post some more pics, those are some pretty incredible sheds you've found.  What did the big one score?

Ridgerunner, the big one when killed scored either 203 1/8 or 200 1/8, cant remember which one. The sheds that I have score 174 5/8. They are currently at my Bro's house in Utah where the whiter one is getting a good stain job to match the other one. This buck is the current state record for Washington according to Big Game Inc.

I figured you were a bit high with your 50-50 guess, but I just saw a one antlered buck behind my house and they ususally pack until March.  Just going to be an early year.

Wasn't that state record buck killed just outside of Colfax?  I can't remember the guy that shot it but I think I talked to him at a sportsman show about 10 years ago...?  Or am I crazy...

not crazy......George Cook III I think.  He was also into fishing....used to guide at Isaacs ranch out in the Coulee country.  Peone had number 2 for awhile off of Omak Mtn.  I got to see it in person.  Awesome buck.  I think Peones was more impressive, but cooks had the inches.  I don't know if its been beat since then or not.  Cooke was over at the Dome for a year or two on the lecture circuit.
