Believe it or not-  that's the truth.  They will take lots of different baits and in the winter the bank fishing is great.  I used a slip bobber 6' deep with a Gulp bait worm and did well.  My wife likes power bait on bottom...She still chirps at me about that fish...

We fish near the Chief Joeph Dam so we can use the camp ground there. Where do you guys fish this lake?

they're triploids. they don't spawn, so they don't lose weight..alls they do is grow.
they are typically fed pellet food, like cat food. i am curious as to what they taste like. trip's typically have a reputation of tasting like boot leather.

They taste great just like salmon basically. The main reason they get so big is all the food they eat goes into making them fat not growing reproductive parts. They also love to for some odd reson and they want to eat more than wild fish jits just the way they are raised I guess.
