snow goose authorization online?
« on: September 22, 2009, 11:31:40 AM »
has anybody looked at this? For a free snow goose authorization and report card the price is free, how ever there is a .50 cent dealer fee, since i have already bought all the liscenses i need for this season i dont want to charge .50 to my card, is there any other way to get the authorization?

try 2 quarters. you can pick them up at the dealers now. WDFW is not mailing them out this year.

I signed up for them online but I guess you are supposed to go down and pick them up. But then I called wdfw to ask about snow goose cards and he said if you turned it in last year that you will get another this year. I guess it was miscommunication

Just purchase them at the dealer.  Then it's .50 cents per tag.  Get them prior to placing your federal stamp as they print out another license.  If you shoot more than 15 snow geese per season, I would just get the second tag at the time of purchase.  I carry around about 10 feet of that WDFW ribbon in my pocket now with all my licenses on it.  Geeze, killing the plastic tree.

So are they printed out laminate type cards like our licenses this year instead of the construction paper type permits? Attached to the license?

Just like your licenses or fish card.  A pile of plastic for your wallet.  Just buy the 2nd snow goose card at the time you get them if you hunt them frequently.

This isn't really a bad deal in that you have your old license that is still valid, plus the newly issued one for the permit hunts. If you lose or run the original through the washer, you have a backup for far less money than a replacement would cost.
