Watz Hunt-

It's not looking like I'll get out for elk other than maybe the damage hunt in Skagit. I used too much vaction early. Sorry for the delay in response- been on graveyards and not on computer much. I'm ready for the deer hunt in upper Skagit.

:yike:  Unfortunately i still have both my elk and deer tags.  didn't get out much for early.  mainly hit kitsap/hood canal area for deer and a few days out down towards morton for elk.  plan on heading down that way for late elk for a week or so.

I still do, haven't seen a 160 plus whitetail yet within 60 yards or during the daylight. I saw a 170 about a week ago but it was at 6:05 pm, not even close to light out, sad part was he was less than 30 yards away  :bash: Give it time I will shoot something good. 5x minimum, I have confidence.  :chuckle:
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I still have mine. Drew a late season archery deer permit this year for GMU 578 (1 of 100). Season opens Nov. 20 and runs through Nov. 30, 3pt. min. I have talked to some land owners and they are seeing some legal bucks with swollen necks. The anticipation is killing me! :bash:

Still have both a deer and elk tags, looks like Bowkid and I should have Winston all to ourselves :chuckle:. Probably spend some time in Ryderwood and Willapa hills as well. Good luck to all :brew:
