Do you have a boat?

I used to hunt the Army Corps land along the Columbia from boat. It was OK. Easy access and easy to tell you are on public land.

Also WDFW puts out a map (or used to) that had dots all over it representing "Free to hunt" and "Ask to hunt" lands. Each dot had an explanation of the available land in that location. It proved usefull more than once.

I too live West side and try to hunt some East side stuff with little or no scouting. Its hard, but I've managed to do quite well by going the extra mile. You can do it too!

Lincoln county also has some good muley's, by wilbur. My bro in law and his dad have taken some nice 4x4 and 5x5's on there property(they own 3,000 acres), and it border's some state land. Also up by chewelah there's a mountain called iron mountain and kalispell mountain seen some good whitetail and muley's up there as well, but expect a few hunter's to be up there as well.

:yeah:  On the Lincoln county deer.  I have not hunted around Wilbur but know the country. Lincoln county is a big county and alot of ground to cover. There have been some nice bucks taken in the Blue Stem area between Davenport and Harrington. West of Harrington towards Coffee pot lake is some good ground also.

Look at unit 113 and cross the bridge at Usk and the property is ether Indian Rez, few private places and the rest is timber company or federal.
