Finding someone with FFL
«

O.K. Heres the deal. I have posted on here about a 270 rifle i have been looking at. I have the guy talked down to $415.00 (shipping included). He will take it to a gunsmith to assure me a clean bill of health on the gun before purchase. It is a Rem. model 700 BDL in great condition, manufactured in april of 1966. The seller resides in Florida and has shipped many guns before. From what I understand it needs to be shipped to someone with a FFL. I do not have a FFL nor do I know of someone who does.
I live in Arlington WA. Can anyone help me out and let me know who and where I can have this rifle shipped to and the cost that might be assosiated with it on this end.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys........And Gals. Devin

pretty much any gun shop will likely do it for you.
usually they charge around $30.00, i have seen anywhere from $20-$50 though.

Also, pawn shops with FFLs may be able to help you out... they might be a bit cheaper.

gunbroker.com has a list of FFL's by region with contact info.
maybe your local gun club.

i think i have shipped guns 6-7 times from NY to here and the cheapest i have ever found was always the little mom and pop shops.
the pawn shops were in the middle price-wise and the big shops like Wade's wanted $50 a gun.

I live in Arlington Wa.. Thanks guys for all your help. I did what thinkingman did and went to gunbroker.com to find one. Found one 14 miles away that is going to do it for 20 bucks. It turns out that the gunsmith that looked at it said it was in excellent condition. The guy I'm buying from bought it from his uncle 14 years ago and has never shot it.....just kept in his safe. He said his uncle bought it new and doesn't think he even put a box of shells through it. It's a done deal....sent the money off today. Turns out I'm paying $440 for the rifle..total..no scope, but I didn't want the bushnell that was on it anyways Thanks again for everyones help.....I love this site. Devin
